Calvary Bible Church began in 1959 as a home Bible study group.  This group grew in number and formed a church, which began meeting in the present church building in 1960.  We have recently purchased land and as the Lord provides, will soon have a new building to accommodate our growing numbers!

Calvary Bible Church:  our name is rich in meaning.  The name Calvary comes from the name of the hill outside Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified.  Calvary reminds us of the greatest gift we can ever be given--forgiveness when we place our trust in Jesus' death as the final, complete payment for our sins. 

We are a Bible church because we believe that God speaks to us today through His Word, the Bible.  We study it and teach its principles to all age levels, believing that it has the answers we need to live our lives to the fullest measure God has for us.

And we are a Church, a "family" united by this common factor:  we are all sinners who have been saved from eternal death by the amazing grace of Jesus!  We are not perfect, just forgiven.  But because Jesus loves us so much, our desire is to live our lives to please Him, and to share His love with others.
