But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.”
Service next Sunday, 5/31:
Next Sunday, May 31, we will once again be live streaming our church service, but with a couple of changes:
The service will begin one hour earlier than usual, at 10:00am, and will last less than 1 hour.
We will be recording the service outside, on the west side of the church in the upper parking lot, partly under the shade tree and partly on the parking lot. We are meeting outside as research shows the risk of infection is much less outside than if it were held indoors.
Those who'd like to sit with us outside may do so, but let's keep in mind that the Kansas Phase 2 reopening plan recommends a limit of 15.
As an alternative, you may also park close by in the upper parking lot, or along the street, or just below in the lower lot, as long as you remain in your vehicle. We will be using a sound system, so you should be able to hear well.
There will be a table in the parking lot that will have hand sanitizer, as well as face masks if you don't have your own. An offering jar will also be on the table.
Folding chairs will be available, or if you prefer you may bring your own chair. As per Kansas stipulations, we ask that those who join us maintain social distancing in where you place your seats, as well as while visiting before and after.
Basement doors will be unlocked so restrooms will be available.
Bring your own coffee! Coffee will not be served inside. For those with kiddos, bring toys, coloring materials, whatever you need!
We realize that many of you are not ready to come out in person to services yet, so that is why we will continue to live stream this, and every, service in the future.
It is our intention to comply as best we can with the Kansas Ad Astra Phase 2 reopening plan by holding this service as outlined above.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to this email, or call us at 913-441-1604.
And remember, Calvary Bible Church is not now, nor has it been "closed"! We are thankful for the faithful gathering of all who have been able to join us online or in spirit over the past 10+ weeks. God's Church is not a building, it is US!
Whether online, on the church property, or in spirit, we hope to be together on Sunday!
